As a small child, I spent many a Saturday morning endlessly busting through my parent's bathroom doors, with an expertly styled towel atop my head, asking through lots of giggles, "Do I look kinda fine!?" Today, I'm still having just as much dressing up and pouring over fashion design.
I am an Austin, TX based creative who has worked at some of the world’s most recognized companies and ad agencies as a Senior creative. I'm proud to have produced work seen around the globe with Amazon, Kellogg's, Wayfair, and more.
My style marries bucolic simplicity and charming whimsy with plenty of color and texture to boot. Here, I'll lend my keen eye for sartorial and interior design by highlighting beautiful objects, unique small brands, and intriguing ideas from across the globe.
behind the account
I'm an enneagram 4w3, a Libra sun, Aquarius rising and moon, and an INFJ. Samantha Parkington is my American Girl Doll of choice, and I really like personality quizzes, if you didn't notice.
When I'm not online shopping, making videos, or designing, I'm probably sitting next to Tate, my French bulldog (and light of my life), dreaming of moving to the Cotswolds and proudly watching the worst TV you could possibly imagine.
I only share what I consider to be the best of the best in fashion and home. My focus is on small, independent brands and fashion designers. I'm careful to learn about a brand's background, the quality of the items, and how each garment or piece is made before sharing it here.
What I'm
loving
I'll dive down many rabbit holes to find small, independent designers and brands that the world simply has to know about. Think of me as your dedicated hidden gem hunter.
What I'm
learning
I dedicate a lot of brain power into developing systems that allow me to buy more thoughtfully – like my 5x5 Capsule Wardrobe Planning System!
What I'm
not about
I understand that investing in your wardrobe is a privilege, but my goal is to focus on smaller brands and artists rather than fast fashion.
what I
believe
I believe in championing small shops, local makers, and artists. Taking the extra time (and sometimes extra cost) to find a sustainable, small brand to support over fast fashion is worth it.
